Carlos Pico

I hold a bachelor's degree in Sports and Recreation Management from Ashford University, where I graduated in 2014 on a full athletic and academic scholarship. My coaching certifications include PTR 11-17 Workshop (2014), ITF Applied Biomechanics Workshop (2010), Level 2 International Coach Certification (2018), and a Personal Trainer Certification from the Institute of Human Performance University (2020).

My coaching career includes being part of the coaching staff at North Miami Beach Tennis Center (2015-2017), where I managed the Competition Program, Clinics, and After School Program. From 2020 to 2023, I focused on high-performance player development at Rafa Muzlera Tennis.
​
As a player, I captained and played #1 for Ashford University's tennis team (2011-2014), reaching the Final 4 in singles and doubles at the ITA Regional Series (2011-2012) and competed in Futures and Challenger tournaments (2008-2010).

My name is Gian Pico, and I hold a Graduate degree in Sport and Entertainment Business at Concordia University Wisconsin, where I also serve as the Graduate Assistant Tennis Coach. I earned my undergraduate degree in Sport & Recreational Management from Cardinal Stritch University, graduating Magna Cum Laude.

My certifications include Advanced Tennis Biomechanics, PTR Coaching (11-17), First Aid CPR AED, Functional Training, Simplified Planning Training, Functional Evaluation for Injury Prevention, IHP University Fitness Instructor, PTR Certified Professional-Junior 11-17, USPTA Certified Professional, TPA Tennis Performance Trainer, and ITPA Certified Tennis Performance Specialist.

I have diverse coaching experience, having worked as a Tennis Professional at Club Med North Miami Beach, Assistant Tennis and Soccer Coach at Cardinal Stritch University, Head Tennis Coach for Nicolet High School's Junior Varsity, and at the North Miami Beach Tennis Academy. My dedication to education and professional development, despite financial hardships, reflects my commitment to excellence in my field.
